>> all of baltimore has come down with a case of orioles fever. the orioles are hoping to clinch a spot in the playoffs. kim dacey has more with the big weekend in the yard. >> tonight before their game, mayor stephanie rawlings-blake will present orioles center fielder adam jones with a key to the city because this year the orioles have done baltimore proud. fans are excited of the possibility the orioles will be in the playoffs. the orioles challenged schools across the state to go orange and show their orioles pride. yesterday thee winner got their prize. the orioles bird and pitchers troy patton, tommy hunter and jason hammel visited the school. the kids got to ask the players questions and meet them in person. the students went wild, but the players had a great time, too,. >> i didn't even know that most of these kids would know who i was.

a man was arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman and her won. he is charged with attempted murder. was arguing with his girlfriend and he shot her multiple times. the first shot was fired at her young son. >> a towson theater will learn whether it will lose its liquor license. the liquor board has scheduled a hearing for the theater following last weekend's chaotic flight. seven people were charged. police believe the shooting hours later may have been connected. promoter was used at the event. nearly a dozen homes have been

gun on himself and took his own life. a man behind a film has been ordered held without bond. a judge ruled that nakoula basseley nakoula should be held on suspicious of violating the terms of his probation. he was on probation for check fraud. a trailer for his film was posted on youtube and has been linked to protests all across the middle east. the germanic seen as an officer loses control of his car and slams into a house. this happened last month. he skidded off the road and into a house at about 45 miles per hour. the officer suffered a minor neck injury. nobody inside the home was hurt.

>> baltimore shows up on a lot of best and worst lists, but the city was the toast of the town last sunday, and in a good way. in the midst of a lot of awards presented at the 64th annual primetime emmy's, one of the biggest winners was baltimore, on multiple fronts. it was a big night for baltimore productions, stars, and even a jewelry designer. baltimore native julie bowen took home another emmy as best supporting actress for her role in the comedy "modern family." her introduction mentioned her baltimore childhood, where her love of acting began in her back yard with her sisters. in one of the strongest sweeps of the night, the baltimore- based docu-drama "game change" won four awards, for acting, writing, and direction in the movie and miniseries competition. the award for best actress in comedy went to julia louis- dreyfus for her performance as the vice president in "veep," which is filmed in baltimore. she thanked her crew in baltimore and will return next month for her work on a second season for the now emmy-award- winning show. even the gift bags had a taste of baltimore, with jewelry from a local designer that went to
